Forestry and Land Scotland woodland with steep waymarked trails and panoramic coastal views. The official trail guide describes wide, firm gravel/stone surfaces; beyond the forest gate the summit route crosses open ground that is often boggy. Parking is free. Current slope-stability works may put all-terrain vehicles on the trails, although trails remain open. Source: forestryandland.gov.scot
