Dog-friendly Norfolk Broads waterside walking through woodland, reedbeds, fen and grassland, with paths and boardwalk sections. Dogs are welcome but must remain under close control, stay out of surrounding fields and be put on a lead if recall is unreliable, if likely to chase wildfowl, or whenever a ranger asks. Dog waste bins are provided. The official car park is on Lower Street (NR13 6RX), approximately a ten-minute walk from the Broad; parking is pay-and-display and can fill on busy days. Free entry to the Broad year-round. Water taps and general rubbish disposal at the moorings are seasonal (April–October); do not assume year-round drinking water for dogs. Wetland wildlife and uneven ground require care. Navigation coordinates identify the official car park, not the middle of the water. Sources checked 26 October 2026: salhousebroad.org.uk/visit.html and /faqs.html; car park position from OpenStreetMap via Mapcarta.
