Ambleside Townhouse accepts either one large dog or up to two small dogs in designated ground- and lower-ground-floor rooms and suites, many with their own private entrance. The current charge is £15 per dog per night. Dogs must be fully trained, well mannered, disease free and kept on a lead or carried in all public and outdoor hotel areas. They are not allowed in the breakfast room or on furniture and should not be left unattended without prior agreement; the hotel may make an exception during breakfast. Complimentary on-site parking is included for residents except guests in small double rooms. The Lake Road location is close to central Ambleside, Rothay Park, the River Rothay, Waterhead and routes towards Loughrigg and Stock Ghyll Force.
